My love for fashion began with my mom, my greatest style icon.
When you are raised by the most stylish woman in the world, it’s hard to ignore. While other kids were playing sports after school, my mom and I were taking laps around the local mall. I used to sit outside of the dressing room and watch my mom come out in outfit after outfit. You’d think that would be boring, but to me, it was everything - seeing her light up when she found something she loved.
In addition to her incredible style, my mom was the funniest woman I have ever known, my greatest confidant, and my number one cheerleader. Her belief in me gave me the courage to follow my dreams and pursue a career in fashion.
I attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where I received an AA in Fashion Merchandising and a BS in Business Management. I started my career on the merchandising team at Cult Gaia, where I worked closely with the design team to develop each seasons collections. Merchandising taught me how to create a cohesive collection and how to style pieces multiple ways.
Following my time at Cult Gaia, I transitioned to a buying role at FWRD, where I learned the ins and outs of how to select merchandise for an online retailer - analyzing the pieces and price points that sold the best to determine how to buy for future seasons.
With the knowledge I gained from merchandising and buying, along with my personal styling “training” from my mom, I’m now working full-time as a personal stylist.
My goal is to turn my passion for both styling and shopping into a service that can help people find confidence through their wardrobe.
After my mom passed away from MSA in December 2024, I started my blog “Love, Loss, and Louboutins” - writing became a way to help process my grief. Read more about our relationship here.
